Very large terracotta tian bowl with a light yellow glaze and splashes of green.
Tians were often used as milk bowls or to prepare cassolet/confit.
Glazed on the inside with a fresh yellow colour and unglazed on the outside - there is nothing that says rustic French provencial than pancheon, tian bowls or confit pots.
Perfect as a fruit bowl, vase or centre piece on a dining or console table.
Circa late 1800's, traditionally made in Narbonne.
